After a few failures, I finally found a really nice Homemade natural Body Wash recipe!!
I have made a few batches now and I really like, it leaves the skin feeling lovely and soft. Its all natural, great for the skin, chemical free and planet friendly.
I do find that when it goes into water it does cloud the water a bit and I don't like to rinse my hair in it, so it's a case of if having a bath, I wash my hair first then use the body wash or just use in the shower as normal, but have a go and see what you think.
Here is the recipe...
75ml plus 2 tbsp Castille Soap,
2 tbsp Sweet Almond Oil,* (you can also use coconut oil, Olive oil or grapeseed oil)
2 tbsp Liquid Glycerin
1 tbsp Jojoba Oil, (I didn't have this so its not in my 'n but you can add it if you want and i will be adding in my next batch)
1 tbsp Vitamin E Oil,
EO's of choice, (I use 10 drops Lemon/10 drops Grapefruit/10 drops Sweet orange) Again you can your favorite's here.
** I sometimes use 15 drops Lemon and 20 Rosemary - which is also nice. and Lavender and Rosemary are also a lovely combination.
* Sweet Almond Oil - Is rich in vitamin E which nourishes the skin and regenerates new skin cells, it also helps repair damage in the collagen layer of the skin helping to smooth the skin and reduce wrinkles! Its also a natural antioxidant which helps protect from the damaging effects of the sun and relieves inflamed, irritated skin.
** Jojoba Oil -
I have had little success with shampoo, but not enough to put a recipe on here!!, having slightly given up I am testing some natural eco friendly products at the moment and will do a blog on my findings.
I will do a blog on essential oils/carrier oils and their properties for beauty products also,,, watch this space.
